Description
My goal was to do a portrait of Ksenia Solo,but I failed...
Still,I like how it came out inspite of it not looking like her.
I promisse I\'ll redo it in the future(once I better my skills).
-Photoshop Cs5
(probably spent more than 10hours on this,dindn\'t count them...been wanting to paint a really smooth skin for a while)
Ps:She has 2 dots on the right side of her face,next to her mouth,but I didn\'t painted since the girl in my portrait doesn\'t look like Ksenia.So see this as referenced portrait,lol I dunno.

You didn't fail at all, this looks really good. Some parts are a lot more detailed than other and maybe that's why it looks unfinished. But the parts that are detailed look really good. I got a good tip from a friend about not drawing every hair individually, but let it kind of blend together like it does in a real photograph. Our eyes can't perceive more than on focal point at a time so the rest should naturally blur out. At the same time, if your a perfectionist like me and you really want to put all that detail in there, then it has to be there everywhere, like her eyebrows. Try using a soft brush on her eyelashes and adding a small shadow under neath them so they look connected. Her eyes look spectacular however.
Lips are difficult, but you did a good job on the highlights. A little more shadow in between the lips will make them look separate and more distinct.
